How to book tickets

Payment online

You can pay online through PayPal even if you don’t have your own PayPal account. We use PayPal because it allows us to receive secure payments quickly and easily which is better for you and better for us, and we dont charge any extra fees for online payments. Paying through PayPal is very simple but please read these notes before you pay online to avoid any confusion:

When you have selected your ticket type and quantity and have filled in your booking details choose ‘Payment options (Online PayPal or card) and then click ‘Send your booking’


You should see a little message saying you will be redirected to PayPal. You will then see the PayPal login page where you can choose either to pay using your own PayPal account if you have one, or below that the option to ‘Checkout as a Guest’ if you want to pay directly using a bank card.

Payment by card

You will enter your bank card details here which will be securely used. PayPal will also ask for some contact details from you and will record your purchase in case you need to get a refund or to query the transaction later. It will ask for an email address so it can send you a special PayPal receipt. And it will ask you to click confirming that you accept some PayPal terms and conditions. When you have completed these details and confirmed your payment you will get a confirmation message and a link to ‘Return to Merchant’ (which will take you back to the Chamber Choir site). If your payment goes through you should then receive an email from us confirming your booking, and another receipt email from PayPal which will include the date and time of your payment and a unique receipt number in case of any further queries. PayPal will also invite you to open your own PayPal account. You do not need to do this. Your details will remain secure. Please keep a copy of the receipt email in case you need a refund or have a query later on.

We do not issue separate tickets, just bring a print of the PayPal receipt email with you when you collect your tickets at the door. Please email info@colchesterchamberchoir.org if you have any problems or questions.

Payment by cheque
Cheques should be made payable to ‘Colchester Chamber Choir’ and sent to 9 Elm Grove, Wivenhoe, Colchester CO7 9AY at least seven days prior to event otherwise the tickets will be released for general sale. On receipt of your cheque we will confirm your booking by email. Please bring a printout of that email to the event.

Sold-out concerts
For all sold out concerts we operate a waiting list. Often we are able to offer seats at the last minute. Please email info@colchesterchamberchoir.org to be added to the waiting list for a particular concert.

Refunds
If you contact us more than a calendar month before the concert date, we will refund your tickets in full. If you get in touch later than that, we will refund you if we are able to sell the tickets to someone else.
